Overview

This article covers the end-to-end process of adding measurement(s) from initial setup in the online platform C-sar to final configuration in Roasting Intelligence. Access to comprehensive machine data is vital for successful roast management.

Instructions

Step 1: Adding the additional measurement(s) to your roast machine via the online platform C-sar

The display order in Roasting Intelligence matches your C-sar configuration. 
Always cross-reference your roast machine’s setup manual to ensure a measurement is supported by your roast machine before attempting to enable it. Contact Customer Support for additional help.

 

 

  1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
  2. Navigate to the Gear icon and select Machines.
  3. Locate the roast machine and click the Edit icon.
  4. Scroll down to the Measurements section and click +Add measurement.
  5. Select Update machine to save your changes.


Step 2: Configuring the additional measurements in Roasting Intelligence 
 

Please restart Roasting Intelligence if it was running during the C-sar configuration to ensure all changes are synced.

 

 

  1. Log in to Roasting Intelligence.
  2. Navigate to thePreferences > Machine > Measurements tab.
  3. Toggle the switch to green to activate the measurement.
  4. Click the dropdown and choose the connector associated with your roast machine.
  5. (Optional) Select the checkbox to enable the Rate of Rise readout.
    (Optional) Use the Drag and drop icon to move measurements into your preferred order. 
  6. Click Save.
