What does POS stand for?

POS stands for Point of Sale, which refers to the location and system where a retail transaction is completed.

It represents the key moment in the sales process when customers finalize their purchases by making payments for the items or services they have chosen.

Finding the POS Data information

You can access the POS Data in your reports, which may vary based on the specific system you are utilizing.

Why is it important to have accurate POS Data?

To effectively use the Inventory Insights feature, it is essential to upload at least one .csv file containing your POS Data. 

We also encourage you to review the recommended workflow for entering data to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

Guidelines for uploading POS Data

In this section, we provide essential information and key considerations to keep in mind before you begin uploading your POS Data:

  • To ensure accurate reading and provide you with the best insights, please structure your .csv file according to the specified format: 
  • You don't need to delete any additional columns; however, ensure that the first four columns align precisely with those illustrated in the screenshot above:
    • Date
    • SKU
    • Name
    • Quantity
  • You do not need to remove SKUs that are not related to the Cafe; our system will only process the relevant ones.

You may use a semicolon (;), comma (,), or dash (-) as separators for your data.

  • The .csv file size should not exceed 3 MB.
  • All files must be submitted in English. 


The main steps of uploading POS Data

By following the steps below, you can easily upload your POS Data: 

  1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
  2. Navigate to Cafe on the main menu bar. You will be directed to the Operations overview page.
  3. Scroll down to the Inventory Insights tab.
  4. Select the POS Data tab. 
  5. Choose the file from your device that you wish to upload by clicking on the Click to select file option. 
  6. Click on the selected file, and it will be displayed for your review.
  7. Select the Upload button to complete the process.
  8. The uploaded file will be displayed in the POS Data overview section for your reference.
